Enjoy a day exploring,
as we drive through valleys, mountains and terraces lined
with orange and lemon trees, olive groves and vineyards, all
descending to the sea. |

Wander the narrow streets
and harbour area, browsing the souvenir shops, or relax with
a traditional Italian pastry and cappuccino. |
Day 7 Pompeii and Vesuvius
(optional). |
Learn about Pompeii’s last
days, its people and its eventual destruction by the eruption
of Vesuvius in 79AD (entrance at additional cost). We continue
to Vesuvius and our tour takes us to 3,000 feet, where you
can continue on foot to the crater (there is a local charge
of approx. €6.50 to visit the crater). |

Sail across the Bay of
Naples to magnificent Capri, a popular home to the rich and
famous. Explore the island’s spectacular cliff-top panoramas,
with views of Vesuvius. |

in Europe’ offers fabulous scenery. See the lovely hillside
town of Ravello, perched 350 metres above the sea. |
Day 11 Rome (included). |
See the palaces and piazzas
of the Roman Empire’s former capital. Our optional guided
sightseeing tour by coach and on foot covers the Spanish Steps,
the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum. Continue to Chianciano
Terme for an overnight stay. |
Day 12 Vipiteno (included). |
En route to Austria, enjoy
the history and tradition of the shopping haven of Vipiteno
in the Italian Alps before an overnight stay in Austria. |
| Your Hotels |
You’ll stay for seven nights
at the familyrun 3-star Hotel Mary in Vico Equense, a short
drive from Sorrento. The hotel’s owner, Enzo, will be happy
to show you around his small town. A local train allows easy
access to/from Sorrento. There is a lift, an outdoor swimming
pool with sunbathing terrace, restaurant, bar, small lounge
and fantastic views over the sea. All bedrooms have a ceiling
fan, telephone, T.V. and balcony. In the Lake Como area, you will stay overnight at the 3-star Hotel Albavilla, or similar. In Montecatini, you will stay at a 3-star hotel, such as the Hotel Valtorta. In Chianciano Terme, you’ll stay overnight at the 3-star Hotel Mizar or similar, and then one night in the Austrian Tyrol at a 3-star standard hotel. Overnight stays in northern France and Belgium will be in city-style hotels. |

20 miles of one of our joining points, we will collect you
from your home and take you to one of our local joining
points, then return you to your home at the end of your
