NEW YEAR'S EVE: Barcelona
with Guided Sightseeing Tour (optional) A full day excursion to the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona. On arrival our guide will give a sightseeing tour, mainly by coach, during which you will see many famous sights, including Gaudi’s magnificent Sagrada Familia Cathedral, whose construction was begun in 1882, and is scheduled for completion in 2026, the 100th anniversary of his death. You will also see the Olympic Stadium and afterwards, stroll down, Las Ramblas, a wide street stretching from the Plaza de Catalunya down to the Monument of Christopher Columbus, near the harbour area. Browse the shops and stalls, relax at one of the cafés and tapas bars and marvel at the superb street and mime artists. Adjoining the boulevard is the old Gothic Quarter with its marvellous Cathedral and quaint old alleyways. Return to our hotel in plenty of time to prepare for tonight’s festivities at our hotel.
