DAY A relatively short journey takes us to Liverpool, rejuvenated in 2008, when the city was the European Capital of Culture. Our guided Merseyside Discovery Tour will show you the most popular visitor attractions, including Albert Dock, ringed by restored five-storey warehouses and now a World Heritage Site, the Merseyside Maritime, which shows the past of one of the world’s greatest-ports, and some of the haunts of the Beatles, with plenty of memorabilia. |
HALF DAY An extended half day excursion along the coast to the delightful seaside resort of Lytham St Anne’s, a firm seaside favourite with miles of sandy beaches, lovely promenade and relaxing gardens. On our way back we call at the renowned Botany Bay, an enticing shopping outlet in a converted old mill. Bargains galore! |
