Cobh & Kinsale By Air with Coach Tours - 5 Days Tour Highlights • Characterful Cork • Historic Cobh • Beautiful Kinsale • Traditional Irish hospitality |
Enchanting, in an old fashioned way, Cork is Ireland’s second largest city. There always
seems to be a festival or special event taking place, and with bustling, friendly streets,
traditional pubs and trendy cafes, it makes a good choice for a short break. Attractions
include Shandon Church, with its pepperpot steeple and melodious bells, St. Finbarr’s
Cathedral, which has three giant spires, the Cork Museum, Cork City Gaol, and the Old
English Market, a Cork tradition since 1610. |
| Cork, Cobh & Kinsale - Your Itinerary |
MONDAY Make your own way to one of our featured regional airports - Heathrow, Birmingham, Stansted, Southampton or Gatwick. On arrival at Cork Airport meet your resort representative after customs who will ensure that you connect with your transfer to the Montenotte Hotel. Transfer time from the airport is approximately 20 minutes. |
TUESDAY - THURSDAY At Cork. During your stay we have included a full day coach tour to Cobh and Kinsale. |
WEDNESDAY A fascinating day in store - first you’ll board a jaunting car outside your hotel for a trot along the lakeshore byways, with a commentary by your ‘jarvey’ on the sights and local legends. At Ross Castle pier embark on an enclosed waterbus for a cruise on the lake, with outstanding views of Ireland’s highest mountains. FULL DAY EXCURSION TO COBH & KINSALE. A scenic delight in store today as we enjoy a full day coach excursion. First to nearby Cobh, whose maritime traditions extend back through the centuries and is famous as the embarkation point for many Irish families emigrating to America, as well as the last port of call of the ill-fated RMS Titanic. Crossing Cork Harbour at Passage West we head for Kinsale, an attractive harbour town with narrow lanes, slate hung houses, overlooking the estuary of the River Bandon and world famous for its seafood cuisine. |
FRIDAY Depart for the transfer back to the airport and the flight back to your chosen regional airport. |
