SUNDAY From local departure points we journey north for an overnight stop. |
MONDAY Crossing the border we head for the Highlands, and our holiday base for the next four nights, our own Bridge of Tilt Hotel, Blair Atholl. |
TUESDAY A day at leisure in this delightful Highland village. A visit to Blair Castle, with its fine collection of armoury is well recommended. After evening dinner sit back and enjoy the entertainment. |
WEDNESDAY A magnificent half day scenic excursion today as we head for Queen’s View - the point made famous by Queen Victoria for its breathtaking views of lovely Loch Tummel and the surrounding mountains. Tonight we have laid on a traditional Scottish evening complete with a Piper, Scottish specialities, and a free bar on selected drinks between 8pm and 11pm*. Slainte! |
THURSDAY A superb full day excursion today as we head north, passing the village of Laggan, location for the TV series ‘Monarch of the Glen’, and the winter ski resort of Aviemore, on our way to Inverness - ‘Capital of the Highlands’. Here there is time to explore before making our way to Culloden Moor, site of the last battle fought on Scottish soil.After dinner enjoy our farewell night of entertainment. |
FRIDAY Heading south we drive via Dunkeld and Perth, before skirting Edinburgh and crossing into England for our final overnight stay. |
SATURDAY Sadly we continue our journey homeward. |
