DAY A tour to Whitby and the North York Moors National Park, with dramatic unspoilt scenery all day.Whitby is the old seafaring town of Captain Cook, a picturesque fishing port and resort combined, set beneath a ruined Abbey. From here we climb into the moors and deep valleys of ‘Heartbeat’ Country, to visit Goathland, the village seen in the popular TV series. From here you can take an optional ride on the North York Moors Railway to the market town of Pickering, where we have our final stop. |
FULL DAY Following the ‘Heritage Coast’, where cliffs tower above the sea, to call at Flamborough Head, with its panoramic coastal views, before continuing to Beverley, a prosperous market town with some fine Georgian buildings and a beautiful 13th century Minster church, returning through the quiet countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds. |
