Wales Coast - Anglesey
& Chester Coach Tours - 5 Days Tour Highlights • Caernarfon • Isle of Anglesey • Llanfair PG • Chester |
The North Wales coast,
backed by the lofty peaks of Snowdonia, is one of our most
scenic holiday areas. Along the coast, visit the historic
town of Caernarfon and cross the Menai Strait to the Isle
of Anglesey. As a contrast take our excursion to the old Roman
city of Chester, and enjoy a free day at Llandudno, the ‘Queen
of Welsh Resorts’. |
| North Wales Coast - Your Excursions |
FULL DAY By the magnificient North Wales coast road, between the mountains and the sea, to the old town of Caernarfon, dominated by Edward I’s castle. With remains of ancient walls and gateways, there is still a medieval atmosphere. In the afternoon, continue by the Britannia Bridge to the Isle of Anglesey, calling at Llanfair PG, shortened from the 58 letter longest named village in Britain, where the crafts and woollen centre is a busy tourist attraction. |
FULL DAY An easy journey to Chester, with plenty of time to explore. Just across the Welsh border, this thoroughly English cathedral city has Roman origins, lots of lovely half-timbered buildings, old red sandstone walls, and fine shops in the unique two-level galleried arcades known as The Rows. |
