Welsh Wonderland
Coach Tours - 7 Days

Tour Highlights
• Outstanding seascapes and mountain scenery • Cambrian Woollen Mill Museum • Brecon Beacons
• Book town of Hay-on-Wye • Charming Ludlow • Welsh Royal Crystal • Elan Valley dams • Welsh Night & Free Bar*

In the heart of rural Mid Wales, Llandrindod Wells is a surprise. Hardly Welsh in character, it developed into a Victorian spa town in the mid 19th century, with rather opulent buildings, new hotels, parks and lakes. An attraction is the restored Pump Room in the Rock Park, where there is a small health centre. The sedate Victorian atmosphere has been preserved and because of its central location, it is an excellent base from which to tour the scenic countryside. As an added bonus this holiday includes a special Welsh Night with Free Bar* too!

Welsh Wonderland - Holiday Itinerary
SUNDAY
From local departure points we make our way through the Midlands and into Wales to reach Llandrindod Wells and the Glen Usk Hotel.

WEDNESDAY
A full day circular tour to the Vale of Towy and the Brecon Beacons. We visit the Cambrian Woollen Mill Museum on the outskirts of Llanwrtyd Wells, a working mill with an art gallery, knitwear, woodland walk and traditional Welsh cooking, then climb over Sugar Loaf Mountain to call at the attractive market town of Llandovery, with its ruined castle, then finally to Brecon, centre for the mountains of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
THURSDAY
A full day tour to the Welsh Border Country. In the morning we visit the eccentric small town of Hay-on-Wye, which has become known as the world’s second-hand book capital. We continue into Shropshire for afternoon sightseeing at Ludlow, a prosperous old town which has many specialist shops, renowned restaurants, lovely half-timbered Tudor buildings and a huge ruined castle.
