Valkenburg |
|
|
Based in
Valkenburg, superb for tourists, and located in the South
of Holland, this represents a great base from which to visit
three European countries. We include a visit to Aachen in
Germany, capital of the Holy Roman Empire of Charlemagne.
We then journey through the Dutch countryside to the area
known as the ‘Dutch Alps’ and on to The Three Countries
Point. This is where the borders of Holland, Belgium and
Germany all meet. On day three we visit Amsterdam, which
is both romantic and beautiful. Relax in one of the many
canalside cafes and watch the world go by. We have arranged
an optional canal cruise to enhance your visit. On day four
the morning is free to enjoy Valkenburg. Explore the old
streets and caves, visit the castle or enjoy the relaxed
atmosphere of the many pavement cafes. After lunch we include
a visit to the historic fortified town of Monschau, with
its unique half-timbered houses. |
