1: Local departure then to the Rhine Valley for a 4-night stay. |

2: Rüdesheim (included) We visit the picturesque riverside ‘wine town’ of Rüdesheim, where you can explore the lively Drosselgasse, a narrow street with cosy cafés, shops and bars. In the afternoon, perhaps join our optional sightseeing drive by little road train, which includes a visit to Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum, with its fascinating selfplaying musical instruments. DAY
3: Cochem and the Moselle Valleys (optional) and Winetasting
(optional) We begin at Koblenz, where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet, then continue along the gentle Moselle Valley to charming Cochem. Later enjoy an optional winetasting at the House of Anton Hammes in Alken. There’s a tour through the cellars full of fine vintages, with the chance to sample and buy. B,D |

4: Rhine Valley (included) and River Rhine Cruise (optional) Marvel at the superb medieval castles and vineyards; the world-famous Loreley Rock; Boppard, with its splendid Rhine Promenade; charming Bacharach and St. Goar, home to the world's largest cuckoo clock shop. The perfect way to view the Rhine is from the water. The optional cruise lasts for approximately 11.4 hours and takes us through the Rhine gorge, famous for its picturesque villages, vine-clad slopes and many ancient castles (Kaub, Cat and Mouse, to name a few).
