4 Macugnaga and Monte Rosa (optional) A spectacular drive via the superbly scenic Anzasca valley amidst steep mountains where chalets seem to cling to the hillsides to the winter ski resort and ancient town of Macugnaga in a superb picturesque setting at the foot of the imposing Monte Rosa (15200 ft). During your visit to this pretty village, why not take the Belvedere chairlift up to the great ‘pink mountain’ to view the Alps in all their glory? |

5 Zermatt (optional) On this full-day excursion into Switzerland, we travel along the grand Simplon Pass, with its superb views over the Swiss and Italian Alps. Since Zermatt is totally pedestrianised, we leave our coach at Täsch and take the railway up to Zermatt where you’ll have free time to explore this winter and ski resort favoured by the rich and famous which is surrounded by such renowned mountains as the Gornergrat, the Monte Rosa and, of course, the Matterhorn. |

6 Milan (included) with Guided Sightseeing Tour (optional)
A fantastic included excursion to the splendid city of Milan, which shares its title as one of the Fashion Capitals of the world together with London, New York, Paris and Tokyo. Why not join our optional sightseeing tour with English speaking local guide – you will see sights such as the Castello Sforzesco and the magnificent gothic style Duomo (Cathedral), seat of the Archbishop of Milan. We also see the Galleria, a covered double arcade connecting Piazza del Duomo to Piazza della Scala; indeed the tour finishes at La Scala Theatre, one of the world’s most famous opera houses. |
