1: Local departure then onward overnight to Belgium or northern France for an overnight stay. |

3: Trento Christmas Market (included). An excursion to Trento, capital of the Trentino region, and a beautiful old valley town with its cathedral, classic Bell Tower and Buonconsiglio Castle. The Christmas market in the Piazza Fiera in front of the ancient city walls marks the focal point of the advent celebrations. Dozens of wooden huts display traditional crafts, food and mulled wine. DAY
4: Bolzano Christmas Market (optional). Join our excursion to Bolzano, the main city in this region of the Süd Tirol. With its medieval centre, Gothic and Romanesque churches and street signs in both German and Italian the city has a unique flavour being a crossroads between Italy and Austria. We visit the delightful Christmas market where some 80 stallholders in their smartly decorated little huts will be offering seasonal gifts including handmade wooden, glass and ceramic products along with charming Christmas tree decorations. 5: Merano Christmas Market (optional). To the spa resort of Merano on the rushing Passirio River, in a delightful setting surrounded by mountains and peaks. Visit the picturesque Christmas market in the Passeggiata Lungo Passirio with its Christmas decorations, ceramics, traditional clothing, statuettes in wood, toys for the little ones and even a typical pastry shop.
