Excursions and visits
Day 3 Ziller Valley Railway and Mayrhofen (included)
Sit back and relax as an old steam locomotive takes us on an historic journey through the panoramic Ziller Valley, from Fugen to the resort town of Mayrhofen. The Zillertal is one of Austria’s most famous narrow railways and has been in operation since 1902.
Day 4 Gisela Train and Kitzbühel (included)
Visiting the lakeside resort of Zell-am-See, we then board the Gisela Train* and take a nostalgic rail journey through the mountains to Kitzbühel. The centrepiece of the original train is the Royal Imperial Carriage, built in 1910. You can also visit the Pullman car, where the original post box with its own special stamp is kept!
Day 5 Innsbruck and Vipiteno (optional)
Innsbruck came to prominence under the rule of the Habsburgs in the 15th century, when the Emperor Maximilian based his imperial court here. Many fine regal buildings adorn the city, including the famous Golden Roof and the Hofburg Palace. We also see the Berg Isel Olympic ski jump, from where there are wonderful views overlooking the city and the Karwendel mountains. Later, we travel over the Brenner Pass to the medieval village of Vipiteno in the Italian Süd Tirol. Enjoy time at leisure to shop for bargains, including wine and leather goods.
Day 6 St. Wolfgang and the Schafberg Railway (optional)
Austria’s lake district is breathtaking. We visit St. Gilgen, where you can stroll along the lakeside or explore the shops. We then cruise to St. Wolfgang, where we board the cog railway and ascend the Schafberg Mountain for some spectacular photographic opportunities.
Day 7 Lake Achensee (optional, included on Silver Service)
Enjoy a scenic drive along the Alpenstrasse to Lake Achensee, the largest lake in the Austrian Tirol. You may decide to take a cruise (optional) on the lake, or a ride on the rack and pinion railway (optional) from Seespitz to Jenbach, which offers amazing views of the area.

Your Hotels
Executive coaches stay for six nights at the recently refurbished 4-star Hotel Harfenwirt in Niederau. SILVER SERVICE will stay for six nights at the 3-star Hotel Sonnschein in Niederau.
Both hotels are owned by the Thaler family, who have been welcoming Leger guests for many years now and look forward to renewing acquaintances with our many returning guests as well as meeting new ones.
The Hotel Sonnschein has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool (subject to season), tennis and crazy golf (small charge), jacuzzi, sauna, solarium and fitness room. Both hotels have a bar and restaurant. All bedrooms have T.V., telephone, radio and hairdryer.
Overnight stays in Belgium are in city-style hotels.

If you’re travelling alone, look out for holidays with the ‘Single Room Saver’ symbol – on these tours there’s no single room supplements! We offer a maximum of four free single rooms per departure, (subject to availability), so book early and save money!
